Overview
I led the UX and UI design for Gartner’s new homepage with one goal: reduce confusion and help visitors find the right path—fast—without losing the authority and depth Gartner is known for.
Role: Senior UI/UX Designer (Lead)
Deliverables: IA + wireframes, UI design, responsive modules, prototyping, handoff
The Problem
The homepage was trying to serve too many audiences at once—so it felt crowded and unclear.
Visitors couldn’t quickly tell where to go based on intent (research, events, consulting, etc.).
Too many messages competed above the fold, weakening hierarchy and trust.
Mobile felt like a compressed desktop experience, making key actions harder to reach.
The Solution
I redesigned the homepage around intent-first navigation and a calmer, more premium hierarchy.
Built clear entry points for top user goals (by role, need, or product area).
Simplified the above-the-fold layout to spotlight one primary message and action.
Moved trust signals earlier (credibility, outcomes, recognition) without adding clutter.
Reworked modules to be truly mobile-first: scannable, tap-friendly, and lightweight.
Used a component-based system so future content updates stay consistent and scalable.
